I just moved back here after nine years in Cold and Boring. There's not a lot I can say for Michigan, but at least I knew all the secondhand stores and vintage places and charity shops within like an hour of where I lived--where to get what, when to go, who I could haggle with. It would take way too long to get caught up by myself, so who has some forbidden knowledge they're willing to share?

[link]. new stuff every other friday. you have to really commit to searching through everything but it pays off big time when it pays off. if you haggle they love you, never pay full price. introduce yourself to the woman with the shaved head who's usually at the counter. eventually, when she gets to know you, she'll start to look for stuff you might like. she's my weird fashion fairy godmother. tell her gabriel sent you.
